The Matrix and Me target audience

My primary target audience is American men and women who pine for truth and trustworthy insight as they grow in their dissatisfaction with the fraudulence surrounding us. They recognize that we are being manipulated in nearly every facet of life. If the daily dose of duplicity has created a rash in your soul, don’t scratch it - the light of the truth is our best disinfectant.

Though not exclusively written to a Christian audience, those most likely to enjoy my writing are adults who resist insularly church living and yearn to live more fully and freely in their communities leveraging the power of the truth that undergirds their profession of faith in Jesus as the Lord of their lives.

My writing aims to not only expose darkness, but also share practical ways to dispel it with light. We are the light. Let’s end our passive posture and fight for our freedom, both now and in eternity.

I hope all readers will appreciate the humble boldness and contrite confidence I strive for with a style that is not only authentic, but credible. You also may like my writing if you are the brand of reader who desires a rare balance of the following:

  • A spiritual appraisal of Scripture that is far more pragmatic than academic with which to power and pique your efforts to become all that God created you to be

  • Scriptural sleuthing and insights that help paint a picture you can use in guiding your spiritual development in the same way that a jigsaw puzzle box cover helps the puzzler assemble the pieces

  • Meaningful encouragement that what you generically claim to believe (i.e., God's word) is not only true, but a veritable treasure you can employ for blessing both now and in the age to come

  • Context! Do you often feel as though you are like a grain of sand on the beach? You need to recognize the cosmic potential of the truth that substantiates your creation.

Are you worn down by the endless “curation” of information? Maybe you recognize the watermark of censors in your digital diet? Or perhaps you desire a change that can help lead you out of the doldrums and into the fullness, freedom, and abundance Jesus promised? Maybe you’re jonesing for a better understanding of your role within the body of Christ or God’s divine design and architecture for life. Or, if you simply long to be inspired to discover what the demons fear about you, then The Matrix and Me may be a stimulating change from the ordinary.

Caveats

I strive to achieve a number of principles with my writing:

  1. fulfill the potential with which God has endowed me for His glory and mankind’s blessing

  2. be relevant to a contemporary world without capitulating to illiterate trends and senseless social norms

  3. work hard to clearly communicate complex truths or paradoxical elements of reality so you don’t have to labor so much

  4. strike the difficult balance between writing to a broad cross section of readers while never condescending to anyone

  5. foster the highest standards of honesty and integrity

  6. teach people how to fish rather than merely feeding them a fishy meal

Feedback

I am a complete novice at this. So, I will read your comments and respond when it seems I am able and should do so. However, this site is not intended to suborn intellectual or theological debate. If you desire to provide constructive criticism then I will appreciate the nature of your feedback; otherwise, I am likely to remain focused on the primary mission I described above.

Structure

The Matrix and Me is the main heading for a variety of topics I intend to share. Within The Matrix and Me, I plan to write occasional articles originating from a Christian world view of current events within the United States. I have other plans (hopes?) to also publish content that is more study-oriented and related to mining and refining the most precious commodity in all of life - truth.

Separate from The Matrix and Me articles, I intend to publish thoughts I have pertaining to Jesus’ amazing promise that He came to give us life abundant, full, and free - not just once we die, but in this present age as well. I generally refer to this with an acronym I created in 1996 - Living In Fullness Everyday (L.I.F.E.). I will share these thoughts separately under the “newsletter” labeled Live for Eternity, not the Interim.

The work I am most distracted with, most enthused by, and most perplexed by is The Great Denouement. Denouement (dey-noo-mahn) is the final resolution or clarification of the intricacies of a dramatic plot. The denouement of this life is what most of us would like to understand but many believe is inscrutable. I have created a separate “newsletter” within this Substack so that as all of my research and study efforts begin to coalesce, I may be able to start producing themes and threads of great relevance and intrigue for anyone who wants to take part in assembling the major pieces of the life-sized puzzle God has revealed through His holy word.

From Genesis 1 to Revelation 22, God speaks to man's role as a ruler. I want to open the eyes of people who have had their crowns stolen and they didn't even know it.

People

God has blessed me in ways that I wish to share with others so that one glorious day I may hear those eternally rewarding words, "Well done, good and faithful servant. You were faithful with a few things… Enter into the joy of your Master."
